With FedEx Freight Holding Company now trading around US$150.81 and sitting at roughly an 11% discount to one analyst price target, plus an estimated 19% intrinsic discount, you have to ask: is there real value here, or is the market already pricing in future growth? FedEx Freight Holding Company is trading on a P/E of 25x, which on the surface sits below several benchmarks and hints at a valuation that is not stretched relative to earnings. The P/E ratio compares the current share price with earnings per share, so it tells you how many dollars investors are paying today for each dollar of current earnings.
A judge ordered Devonta Hodge, 33, of Gary, Indiana, held in custody Thursday after he was charged with homicide in the fatal June 28 shooting of Dylan Perkins, 26, of Glenwood, outside the Amazon facility in Matteson. “This was a senseless killing,” Cook County Judge Torrie Luciana Corbin wrote in the order. Prosecutors said Perkins, a janitorial employee, was on his break with two other coworkers outside the facility when Hodge arrived to make a DoorDash delivery.
In a proffer, the Cook County State's Attorney's office said Perkins and two others were working as janitorial employees that night, and went on a break near the employee bus stop outside the fulfillment center at 10:30 p.m. Around 10:50 p.m., Hodge, who was working as a DoorDash delivery river, pulled up in a white Ford Escape and walked toward the warehouse to deliver someone food, prosecutors said. The other two janitorial employees with whom Perkins had gone on break ran on toward the entrance and passed Hodge as he fled, prosecutors said.
A food delivery driver has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man working at the Amazon fulfillment center in south suburban Matteson earlier this week. Officers arrived within about three minutes and found 26-year-old Dylan Perkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso near the building's front entrance. Police said officers immediately began lifesaving efforts, including applying a tourniquet and performing CPR until paramedics arrived.
Luc Rene, an Amazon delivery driver in Queens, had already gone through five bottles of water in as many hours during his shift on Wednesday, the first day of an anticipated four-day stretch of dangerously hot temperatures in New York City. “I’m delivering 300 packages a day, even in this heat,” one of the workers said. All Amazon depots are equipped with water stations and ice machines, according to the company, which says it works closely with its subcontractors to monitor extreme weather and heat index thresholds and adjust routes as needed to allow additional time to rest.
The proposed rule would have required states to provide USPS with information about voters receiving mail or absentee ballots, along with barcode data tied to ballot envelopes. If a state did not certify a list or comply with the new envelope and barcode standards, the Postal Service would not transmit outbound federal ballot mail to that state’s voters. Sullivan agreed that the proposed procedures conflicted with the settlement that resolved the NAACP’s 2020 lawsuit against USPS.
Postal Service delays during Wisconsin's spring election after hundreds of absentee ballots arrived too late to be counted. According to Baldwin, two-thirds of Wisconsin election officials reported problems with election mail during the spring election, with some saying ballots took seven to 10 days or longer to reach polling locations. In her letter, Baldwin asked the USPS Office of Inspector General to identify any issues affecting the timely delivery of election mail so they can be addressed before Wisconsin's fall elections.
